1SYNC Overview
1SYNC was established from the consolidation of Transora and UCCnet in August 2005. The strengths of both organizations have been combined to offer a cost-effective Data Pool with solutions and services that support user needs and make implementation easier. 1SYNC operates as a not-for-profit subsidiary of GS1 US™ to help the industry maximize the value of data synchronization.
For more than 30 years, GS1 US has worked toward implementing a global language of business through leadership, innovation, technology support, and the establishment of multi-industry standards for product identification and related electronic communications. 1SYNC makes use of these industry standards in the development of powerful tools to synchronize information and break the barriers that hinder the transfer of information in a business-to-business environment.
1SYNC has a collaborative community of trading partners and the most customers implemented within the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN). More than 4,000 leading manufacturers and retailers in the alcohol and beverage, automotive, drug, entertainment, grocery, hardlines, healthcare, and office products industries are part of the 1SYNC community working with other GDSN-certified Data Pools and Solution Partners to synchronize supply chain data.
1SYNC operates in the United States, Europe, Mexico and South America and represents subscribers from leading retailers and manufacturers, including: Ace Hardware, Coca-Cola, Colgate Palmolive, E J Gallo, Gillette, Hormel Foods, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, Kroger, Lowe's, Nestle, Office Depot, Paramount, Pep Boys, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, Sara Lee, SUPERVALU, Unilever, Wal-Mart, and Wegmans Food Markets.
